By 2010 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, Mazda reveals all-new Mazda BT-50, which means a new direction in the utility segment. It was developed as an "active lifestyle vehicle," and aims to further broaden the appeal of a service to users of traditional business to a wide range of clients, including families and hedonists.
Current BT-50 is the only Mazda's range of services to the utility segment. It has set up a utility tonne, which has won numerous awards and gained a strong following throughout the world. In developing the new model, Mazda to expand the appeal to customers who lead active lifestyles and have needs that can not be reached by traditional services companies. It provides all the necessary functions for business cars to combine a family so pleasant to use, and active customers in Australia and Europe, is the perfect answer to all types of outdoor recreation. Thus, the new BT-50 was developed to meet the diverse needs of customers in all markets.
To ensure that these objectives have been met, the new Mazda BT-50 was developed under the theme "Active lifestyle vehicle." The result is a utility that provides a unique value and it has a refined design and expressive, pleasant surroundings, within high-quality, smooth ride with the feel of a car, sporty and responsive driving dynamics, which reflects Mazda DNA, and unique environmental and safety performance.
Design: "Elegant Beast"
We wanted to design a truck, car enthusiasts would be deeply pleased and proud to own. We have identified a unique and expressive as people find desirable, and we also wanted to be considered solid and reliable. This leads us to define the concept as a "sophisticated beast."
As Ryo Yanagisawa, chief designer of the brand new BT-50, explains. "Message of the Mazda Zoom-Zoom, which refers to the sensation of motion first experienced as a child with the new Mazda BT-50, we aim to express this emotion through design, and has attracted much inspiration in various "movements" in the world around us. For example, we had a photo of a lion. It looked like a magnificent predator with all his muscles bunching up as if he were about to attack its prey. His tendons were stretched ready to strike, and his mane strong bone, masculine face which seemed to say: "I am proud of the king of beasts!" in the profile, it appeared that the lion both smart and strong. I really wanted the design of the truck to project such images. This kind of inspiration has been the basis for emotional design that we worked so hard to achieve with all-new BT-50. "
Appearance - A lively and the imposition of Styling
It does not reduce the strength or functionality, we wanted to give the exterior the new Mazda BT-50 athletic style, full of movement, which would make people want to immediately enter and drive. Sharp lines are the proud owners are looking for.
The car finally has a beauty and individuality can be recognized at a glance from any angle, even up to 100 meters.
* Proportions dynamic wedge evoke the image of a large carnivore attacking unwary prey. This is different from all other public services.
* Prediction of the classic image of a rectangular service, sporty and dynamic lines are in harmony with the rest of the range of Mazda cars.
* Continued development of Mazda traditional wings prominent, muscular lines flow wings on the sides of the body.
A front bumper with a bold, overwhelming presence and subsequent individual
* Given the Mazda family, the five-point scale, is developed to look more impressive with lights and a chrome strip forms a pentagon.
* The headlights have a boomerang shape fat, detail and prepare a functional beauty.
* The first segment - taillights are stretched horizontally, around corners and the entire tailgate, and sporty and sophisticated rear view camera, reminiscent of a premium SUV.
Interior - a sports area and personal
We wanted to give the interior of the all-new Mazda BT-50 sports and more personal feel to complement the dynamic external image and create a comfortable space to compete with current standard of Mazda cars. The interior is designed to envelop the driver and create a favorable environment for enthusiastic driving. It raises expectations for a sporty driving experience and flexibility that goes beyond a traditional utility.
* The floating design, smooth in the middle of the dashboard to the raised center console that never saw a pickup truck.
* The dashboard has an asymmetrical design to create maximum space on each side, and soothing surrounds the driver and provides an open space for the passenger.
* Four metal panel fatty strips in the door panel and the sides of the center console and express the dynamism seem to support the interior space.
* A sketch of the two metallic reflections and cylindrical legs connected by a central median to improve readability and enhance the sporting character of the idea based on the driver's dashboard.
* Audio control panel and climate control panel switch, which is independent of the driver and passenger side temperature control with an attractive design for man.
Modern and sophisticated styling inside and out, all-new Mazda Mazda BT-50 raises the bar for the electrical industry and for the first time offer a real alternative to the family car and a 4x4 SUV.
