Improvements in the aerodynamics of the vehicle, the friction of the engine and transmission components, all contribute to improving fuel economy. EPA estimates fuel economy for models Honda Accord sedan 4-cylinder engine are equipped with automatic transmission to improve two miles per gallon (mpg) city and 3 mpg highway, and city / highway rating 23/34 mpg.

Performance-oriented Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 with six-speed manual transmission has a unique 3.5-liter VTEC V6 (without VCM) that provides a valve train performance, music, intake and exhaust in order to extend the curve of torque at lower rpm midrange performance at an amateur level.
A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on 4-cylinder and a 5-speed automatic transmission is available. A 5-speed automatic transmission is standard on V6 models. A 6-speed manual transmission is available exclusively at the Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6.
For security reasons, the Advanced Compatibility Engineering ™ (ACE ®) is a patented design that improves occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal crashes. ACE ™ uses a network design to connect the structural elements to distribute impact energy more evenly across the front of the vehicle. This improvement in the management of frontal crash energy reduces the forces transferred to the cabin.

Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System (available in the Accord EX-L) uses an 8-inch display and a user interface dial for user input. Features include the Zagat Survey ® restaurant guide, nightclubs, hotels and attractions. Honda Accord EX and EX-L and Accord Coupe EX-L sedan models include Bluetooth ® HandsFreeLink ® as standard in wireless connection with compatible mobile phones.
The Honda Accord Coupe (4 cylinder) has alloy wheels as standard equipment 17-inch, 18 inch alloys as standard on the Honda Accord Coupe V6. All agreements based on the disc brakes on all four wheels.
Currently, over 95 percent of sales contracts in the United States are manufactured at Honda of America Manufacturing Inc., Marysville Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio, and Honda Manufacturing of Alabama LLC, Lincoln, Alabama. The Marysville plant is the only global source of the Honda Accord Coupe.
